He is a molecular biologist who has been working in regenerative medicine for more than 16 years, mainly utilizing biomaterials to build biomimetic microarchitectures for regulating stem cell differentiation in nano-engineered environments. In addition, he is working on developing organ-selective gene therapy systems. He has edited multiple books and articles and published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles in leading journals and 7 patents. He has been cited >1000 times and has an H-index of 18. Moreover, formerly he was a Principal Investigator (PI) and the CEO of a biotesting company which was active in doing in vitro and in vivo tests for accreditation of surgical, pharmaceutical and biological materials.
